John Bates for Jean Varon mid 1970s Stunning black goddess dress by the legendary John Bates for his Jean Varon label in the mid Seventies. Unusually executed with pleated bodice coming out from the stitched diamond panel in the centre, and then pleating straight down from the waistline. The halter straps come from the panel and are fastened in the back with a single hook and eye. Simple but deadly sexy, and very easy to accessorize as you see fit!
